Poor Little Thing - a Memoir

Who are you?

Carolina Perez Sanz

What is your project?

My project is a memoir in essays about my relationship with money, business, and myself, to understand where the identity as an “underearner” came from. Two of the essays contain an element of “business anti-advice,” or “how not to.” The themes of the other essays are: my family’s and country’s socio-economic, political, and religious context; how I stopped trying to save my sister and how that changed me; the lack of psychological safety I experienced in my house growing up, and how I learned to be “everything for everyone” instead of setting healthy, self-protective boundaries.
