Sue Fox here— Artist/Quilt Maker; Long-arm Machine Quilter; Teacher/Speaker; Creativity Midwife.
What is your project?
With this project, I continue building upon a body of work Exclusively Focused on using Rescued Materials.
Aside from being objects of Use and Beauty, these Quilts serve several purposes—
• Examples of Contemporary Quilts that do NOT rely on using environmentally costly, commercially produced fabrics.
• Variations on Historical Methods that deserve deeper consideration in our current climate-challenged world.
• Teaching Guides for technique and design.
• Role Models for working with less obvious materials such as Linen, Silk, Wool… gleaned from deconstructed garments or plucked from the waste stream.
