Launching a Clothing Brand with My 12 Year Old Son

Who are you?

Jodie Metaxiotis

What is your project?

Launching a brand (and spending more time creating) with my 12-year-old son, Max.

  • Building his ‘anything is possible’ belief system (BS).

  • The best way to teach entrepreneurship is to help him create a business (his role is fART Director).

WHAT IS STNKWEAR?

High-performance streetwear, actionwear, aka t-shirts + community.

  • Niche focus of teen boys in sport climbing to start.

  • STNK as a metaphor for being both awesome and failing, because you have a go!

Can we see some photos?

This week our first transfers arrived for the Original STNK Tshirt, Max hand screen printed and we started printing.

A really old pic that I love of Max and me (we need a more current one, but I’m always behind the camera).

Where can we find your work?

Follow us at STNKWEAR (@stinkwear) • Instagram photos and videos

Show us your work in progress:

25 Aug: STNKWEAR launched with a community following and a product range (3 t designs) available to buy.

  • This week: Get the message out so we can get the t-shirt on our STNK BETA CREW

  • July: Starting setting up for selling the t-shirts.

Cheering so hard for this parent/child duo launching a brand and building a belief system! Follow @stinkwear on Instagram and reply below if you’re jealous of Max’s job as fART Director.
